One Green Step Forward is a simplistic logo which is the essence of Footprints Eco Store. We believe when people give a little extra effort, their reward is a greater sense of being.
Our little store in downtown Guelph, Ontario is proud to offer environmentally friendly products from around the world as well as many local products. At Footprints we carefully screen for fair trade, fair labour and human rights practices. You can shop in our store with confidence, knowing that we have looked into each product we offer. We are proud to have a growing clientele that enjoy shopping for low impact sustainable goods. By giving people a one-stop shopping experience, from dish soap to bamboo towels, we have made it “easy to be green”.
Footprints opened its doors on June 1st, 2008. It took 3 months to finish the renovations. We rebuilt the store’s ceiling & walls using as much recycled materials as possible. Most of the shelves are also built using recycled and sustainable materials. By removing the wasteful halogen lighting, we dropped the hydro electric bill substantially: we now run fewer lights and of course use energy efficient bulbs. We are Bullfrogged Powered(100% green electricity retailer in Ontario that sources electricity from wind and low-impact water power producers).
Footprints Eco Store is locally owned and operated. We would like to thank all those who have supported our store and have helped make a difference in our community.
